Heather Hardison is a letterer and illustrator. She is the author and illustator of the book Homegrown: Illustrated Bites from your Garden to your Table. She is happy to meet you!
Hello! I'm a letterer and illustrator in Berkeley, California. I was born and raised in North Carolina. I graduated from College of Design at North Carolina State University in 2009, with a degree in Art & Design. After graduation, I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to pursue a creative career. In 2010 my food blog, Illustrated Bites, launched my illustration career. That same year, I began apprenticing at New Bohemia Signs, where I worked as a sign painter for 5 years.
I'm the author and illustrator of Homegrown: Illustrated Bites from your Garden to your Table (Stewart, Tabori, and Chang 2015.) Homegrown is a fully illustrated guide to growing & cooking seasonal produce.
When I'm not working on illustration and lettering projects, you can find me playing in my garden, cooking up something tasty, beekeeping, or rock climbing with friends.
